My First Friend

Days and years have gone by, but i can still remember that day

The day i met you.

Both of us strangers entering together into a strange place

Both of us scared at being thrown into the deep end

But we both took courage and held each other’s hands

With our little bags on our back, we walked into the class

With our handkerchiefs, we swiped each other’s tears.

Exchanged looks and said everything will be fine.

Yes, my first day at school and you became by best friend

Though years have gone by

The bond of frienship has remained

We are far away from each other

But whenever we talk to each other

We still giggle at the silliest of things

Share and cry at each other’s sadness

Our bond of friendship has stayed and persevered through time.

I couldnot have gotten a better friend than you.
